Thanks - Gregans
Hi guys
Well, the Gods smiled down on us yesterday at our Gourmet Garden Party in Gregans Castle Hotel outside Ballyvaughan. It was the most fabulous weather! The views were stunning, the food was truly mouth watering, and we had a hawk display which was very interesting from the Ailwee Caves Birds of Prey centre, and lovely jazz music from Nigel Mooney and his band, so it was a gorgeous, leisurely, lazy day on the lawn. Donagh had a blast, crawling around after his football and being entertained and coo-ed at by a legion of female fans, as well as lots of other tots and children to play with. Thanks to Simon and Freddie Haden and their team at Gregans for their hard work, and thanks to all our supporters who came along on the day. We made €545 on the raffle and donations, and we will see what we made on the day itself when Gregans have worked out their numbers.
Good news from our philantropist last week - they approved our matching funding for Irish Aid at their board meeting, so this will help us with our Irish Aid submission. We will hear in September, so fingers crossed!
We are busy getting ready for the Salthill festival this weekend - we are bucket shaking both days, and Amanda has about 25 volunteers lined up already, so hopefully we will do well if the weather is fine. There is a huge line up of free family entertainment, and we have the 2fm roadcaster broadcasting on Saturday, and lots of giveaways and free goodies from the Kelloggs tent and from cocacola, so hopefully it will be a really enjoyable weekend!
Hope everyone is keeping well.
Lots of love
Nicky
