Pancakes

Hi guys, we have done the final tally on our pancake day and we raised just under 4,000 euro.  We were a bit disappointed - some things worked very well, particularly the corporate canteen side, but other elements didn't generate the same level of funds.  However, we have certainly learned a lot from running it and we are hoping that next year's party will be bigger and better, and more profitable than this year!

Our volunteers in Nepal, Patricia Lohan, Paul Clarke, Rosemarie Barrett and Lee Hayward, are just finishing their teacher training and Nepali language training, and are getting set to head up to Humla to start the teacher training programme on 10th April!  I'm heading out to Nepal on 21st April, in just over two weeks, so it's hard to believe it's coming up so fast!  I am busy here working on various fundraising applications, so I am hoping that these will generate cash flow when I am away.  As always, cash is tight and we never seem to have much breathing space.  But things feel a lot better overall than last year, and having come through so many cashflow battles, I am confident that we will soldier on and survive the rest of the war!  If we can get our institutional fundraising side sorted out this year, and I believe we will crack this nut this year, then things will become a lot easier for us.

Hope everyone is keeping well!

Lots of love
Nicky
